Recently, my contributor Cheryl had the privilege of celebrating her son's seventh birthday at C.R.O.S.S.FIRE Commandos. Here is what she had to say about it!

It was truly the most exciting, fun-filled, yet stress-free, hour and a half we have ever had....EVER! The coaches kept the kids' attention focused on the activities and the parents were able to sit back, watch and enjoy the entertainment...and to keep 21 kids happy for any amount of time is challenging!

From the start, it was easy. Call. Book it. Tour it, which is not necessary if you've been there before, but I wanted to see the party room to plan a few extra details...and then, just show up with the refreshments and decorations of your choice. THEY DO THE REST!! Seriously! We parked right outside the back door, unloaded our party stuff onto a cart, wheeled it in, and headed off to play. The CC staff unloaded everything, refrigerated the cold stuff, and set up all the decor and tables with no instructions whatsoever! My husband and I were able to be part of the action inside the gym the entire time and I had full confidence that they would take care of everything.

Inside the gym, a big screen up high had a birthday message honoring my sweet boy! He loved seeing his name "in lights!" The coaches enthusiasm captured the kids' attention quickly and they were fully engaged in an imaginary mission that led them through an obstacle course including trampolines, a Zip Line and foam pit. They even take pictures for you and play them on a slideshow in the party room! There's an hour of exciting physical activity for all the kids to participate in, and in the center of it all is your birthday kid! The coaches focused on him at the beginning of all the activities, he always went first... and then, at the end they had a huge team rally around him screaming "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!"

I walked out of the gym about five minutes before the kids just to check on the party room, or the Nerve Center as they call it. The slideshow of the kids' rescue mission was already playing!! We chose a Halloween theme for his party and chose to open gifts at home. With thirty minutes in there, I didn't want to have the big mess & drama dominate the end of an easy going party so we focused on all the yummy goodies!! I made a 36" tension rod with streamers for the entry to the room.... It was up; The tables were covered; the plates and Capri Suns were out at each place setting; the skeleton suckers were scattered on the tables; I had a table to serve from and all the gifts had been bagged in our huge pumpkin bags. They each had a little of the birthday boy's favorites which included white cheeseballs, spider Oreo cookies, powdered donuts...and then they pulled him up on stage and lit the sparkler "7" and everyone sang "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" The finale was a slice of cookie cake, a goodie bag and since the kids wore costumes, they each got a handful of candy to kick off Trick or Treating.

We absolutely loved celebrating turning seven and we owe the staff at C.R.O.S.S.FIRE Commandos all the credit for making it so fun, easy and STRESS FREE! We wouldn't hesitate one second to celebrate eight, nine and ten there!
