Have you ever tried Buitoni products? I grew up in a house where my mom made our pasta from scratch, seriously. I knew I had no desire to do that but was accustomed to FRESH pasta: tortellini and raviolli yummy. So when I got married almost 7 years ago I went on a hunt to find pasta that would be just like ( or better) than my mom's homemade pasta and I FOUND IT in Buitoni and we have been using their products ever since! We love Buitoni pasta. So when I was given the opportunity to review some of their newest products and DO A GIVEAWAY for them! Oh yes SUPER EXCITED!!
Click here to see a recipe I posted last November Aunt Marie's Tortellini Soup!
Do you have a yummy way you use their refrigerated pasta? Click here to enter their Masterpiece challenge contest!

Buitoni believes in using simple, high-quality ingredients to create extraordinary meals with over 40 varieties of all-natural pastas and sauces. With a commitment to simple preparation, the brand recently added a new line of premium frozen meals for two. They gave me a coupon to try out one of their new frozen meals and I chose their Grilled Chicken and Spinach Cannelloni with Alfredo Sauce. First I want to say you have the option to cook the meals in the oven (about 50 minutes which is normal for pasta dishes) or the microwave. Now we are not big microwave cookers so we decided to give the microwave a chance and seriously it turned out great! The chicken pieces were very generous and the pasta was perfectly al dente not too chewy and not to crisp. The sauce was perfect in flavor and the spinach was not watery at all, we were very impressed. Also I have to say though it is a "meal for 2" we had 2 pieces left over so one of us then was able to have leftovers for lunch, so the portions were generous.

Our favorite Buitoni meal is chicken tortellini soup! Make it just like chicken noodle soup, but with cheese tortellini instead of noodles! My girls LOVE it! (Their stuffed shells frozen meal is also REALLY good!)

My fiance and I like to make the frozen shrimp and lobster ravioli. We saute up some shrimp to add to the sauce as he needs some "meat substance" to go with his pasta.

I like to toast the mushroom agnioli in the oven, then dip them in spaghetti sauce. Yum! I'm planning on making some tortellini soup tomorrow. My husband and I almost never eat out, so Buitoni is a splurge we allow ourselves from time to time.

I made a soup with cheese tortelli in it back in my college days. Nowadays, my kids prefer the Cheese tortellini with a little butter and salt - that's it! (easy for me!) Alison M.
