Recipe: Roasted Tomato-Garlic Soup

Have you ever tried Orzo? It is a delicious pasta that I think has a buttery taste to it! At Target the Barilla brand (my favorite brand) is only $.46 for a 1lb box!! WOW!! Great price!! You can go here and find more great recipes to make Orzo! The one I am sharing came right off the Barilla box!

Ingredients:
1 jar Barilla Roasted Garlic $ Onion Sauce
3 cups Chicken Broth
2 T extra virgin olice oil
1/2Tablesppon extra virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
1/2 Tablespoon finely chopped fresh thyme
1/2 cup Barilla Orzo
Pesto Sauce (buy it or you can make it)
Directions:
Combine roasted garlic & onion sauce, broth, oil, rosemary and thyme in a small pot; bring to boil. Stir in Orzo; cook 9 minutes
Serve soup in bowls; dollop each serving with 2 tablespoons of pesto, makes 4 servings

Directions for making your own pesto: (you can buy pesto or it is really quite easy to make!!!)

Ingredients:
2 cups 2 oz. fresh basil leaves, trimmed
1/4 cup pine nuts
3 garlic cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

Directions:
Place pine nuts, garlic and salt in a blender or food processor; mix well. Gradually ad oil, blending until mixture is thickened. Transfer to small bowl; set aside.
