My Evansville Mommy passed this great info along from her Schnucks in Indiana. "How would you like to get 10 Old El Paso and Pillsbury products FREE + overage? Well, that's what I just did tonight! Here's the lowdown:
1) Buy any 10 participating General Mills products and get a $5 off Catalina coupon, good for any next purchase.
2) Buy any 6 participating Old El Paso products (which happen to be participating GM products) and get a $3 off Catalina coupon, good for your next beef or chicken purchase.
3) Buy any 4 participating Pillsbury products (which also happen to be participating GM products) and get a $1 off Catalina coupon, good for any next purchase. [There have also been reports that if you buy 5 Pillsbury products it will print a $2 coupon or 6 Pillsbury products for a $3 coupon, but I cannot personally confirm this].
The result? When you buy 6 Old El Paso and 4 Pillsbury products you get the $5 off coupon plus the $3 and the $1!
In addition to this already great deal,
Clippin' with Carie reported that Schnucks has free "Better at Home" coupon booklets (pictured above) which contain Old El Paso, Pillsbury and other GM product coupons! If you are unable to locate these, ask about them at the service desk (that's what I ended up doing... at the Evansville Schnucks the booklets are located by the front entrance at the ad stand).
My transaction looked like this:
6 Old El Paso Seasoning Packets @ 3/$2 = $4
2 Pillsbury Flaky Cinnamon Rolls & 2 Pillsbury Seamless Crescent Rolls @ 3/$5 = $6.67
- (2) $1/3 Old El Paso coupons (Better At Home book)
- (1) $1/2 Sweet Rolls coupon (Better At Home book or
printable here)
- (1) $1/2 Crescent Rolls coupon (
printable here)
Total paid at register: $6.67
Received: $5 and $1 coupons for next purchase and $3 coupon for next beef or chicken purchase
My out-of-pocket expense ends up being
FREE + $2.33 overage!
You don't have to use that exact scenario but that just gives you an idea of how this can work. For a a full list of participating General Mills products you can view the Schnucks ad
