I have used Turbo Tax for the past 7 years and was worried about using it as we had many changes this year. Not wanting to pay someone else I was determined to study Turbo Tax to see if they were updated in all the new government regulations and bills that were passed during the previous year. Turbo Tax has several features that I was unaware of until recently. I began last week the Turbo Deluxe version which helps walk me through to maximize our deductions to get me the most money possible.
Turbo Tax did the research and found that there was $13,000 worth of "new money" that was available to people....and they have the right questions to see if you qualify for a piece of the pie. 95% of people do qualify for some! I found three things to be true for me as I reviewed Turbo Tax.
#1. It's Super Easy! There is a feature called "Smart check" and it checks to make sure you are entering info accurately (in real time)!
#2. I can flag an area that I need to come back and work on. (this is a new feature and I LOVE it!)
#3. I can find answers to my questions in a few different areas, one being "ask the community" and it's FREE!
After playing around a little, I found that the things I was most worried about were not really issues at all. Turbo Tax has several ways for me to feel confident about filing myself! I am almost done with my taxes and will be filing this week!
