Are you not sure where to start? Afraid of cutting coupons?
Let me give you one of my favorite beginner tips....
Use rebate sites and apps. There are so many great sites and apps to get cash back for items you are already purchasing whether online or in store. It's as simple as creating an account and using during purchases.
Also, a little advice for the online sites, I like to check all to see who is offering a higher cash back value for the site I'm shopping before using just one rebate site.
