Well the wait for an IKEA store in the Memphis area will soon be over. IKEA made the announcement today proposing a 269,000 square foot store and approximately 1,000 parking spaces on nearly 35 acres of land in Shelby County’s Wolfchase Corridor along I-40 near Germantown Parkway. Pending all approvals and permits, an IKEA Memphis store could open as early as Fall 2016! The store will be located in the area behind the Costco & Kohl's shopping centers.
