Firebirds Wood Fired Grill Review and Giveaway

Have you ever been to Firebirds Wood Fired Grill? We have two in the Memphis area: one near Wolfchase Galleria and one in Collierville. You’ll know when you are passing by Firebirds, because you will smell a delicious smoky scent in the air!

Last night Firebirds treated my family to a wonderful dinner! It was such a treat, and our waitress and the restaurant manager were so kind to us! I have been through customer service training patterned after what Disney uses to train their employees, and I know good service when I experience it! Last night was excellent service in spades.

Let me tell you about the food! OH, the food was SO DELICIOUS! For an appetizer we had crab cakes and coconut shrimp. I think I loved the tortilla slaw with mango habanero chutney as much as I loved the sea food! The chutney is this perfect balance of sweet with a hint of heat! YUM!

When dinner was served it was Bleu Cheese Fillet Steak and Ribeye for the kids, Herb Roasted Prime Rib for the hubby with a smoked lobster tail, and Firebirds Chicken Pasta for me! In a word I would say “gourmet”. The flavor was sensational, and the presentation was beautiful! I am not a huge fan of lobster tail, because I do not find it very flavorful, but I tried my hubby’s lobster and it was filled with delicious smoke flavor; so when I go back I will certainly be ordering something out of my norm – they just plain know how to cook at Firebirds!

Dessert was amazing! I was sad to hear they had sold out of the Big Daddy Lemon cake, but the Crème Brulee Cheesecake was a perfect ending to my meal. Of course, I couldn’t just eat my dessert – I had some of Brian’s Brownie with Dark Chocolate and Salted Caramel Sauces, topped with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. It was HEAVENLY! This is where my family will take our out-of-town guests when we want to impress them.
