HOT Nintendo Wii Game: Just Dance 3 - only $9.99 on Amazon

Last week I got Just Dance 3 when I purchased the Kinect for the Xbox 360. My daugter, her friends, and I LOVE IT! Even my hubby shakes to hips to the beat and gives it a go each time we play. I got the game, brand new, for $19.99 at Game Stop, but on Amazon you can pick up Just Dance 3 for the Nintendo Wii for just $9.99. The retail price is $39.99, so this is a big savings. Now pay attention to what I said... the $9.99 price is for the Nintendo Wii - it is not for the Xbox 360. :) Get your copy quick, because Amazon prices can fluctuate through out the day!!

Tax Free Weekend: August 3-5

It's time to start thinking about back to school deals, and with that comes the fabulous Tax-free weekend!

The State of Tennessee's Annual Sales Tax Holiday is held every year on the first Friday in August and ends the following Sunday night. This year's tax-free holiday weekend begins at 12:01 a.m on Friday, August 3 and ends Sunday, August 5 at 11:59 p.m.

**Did you know that some stores, which offer lay-a-way, will allow you to put your school items on lay-a-away now and then you can finalize your purchase on the tax-free weekend and pay no sales tax? Whole Foods 7/27 One Day Sale: Salmon Don't Miss It

It’s that time of year again – Wild Alaska salmon is in season for a few short months! Jump on board tomorrow Friday, July 27 to take advantage of WholeFoods Market’s one-day sale when fresh, wild coho salmon fillets will go for just $8.99/pound.

The fillets come from a Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified fishery and are hand-selected by two Whole Foods Market port buyers who spend the summer at Alaska’s port openings, selecting the highest quality and most flavorful salmon as it comes into season. The featured salmon is troll-caught, meaning fish are individually caught by one or two fishermen using a number of baited hooks and lines. The fish is shipped directly from the icy waters of Alaska to stores within 24-48 hours of the catch!

Whole foods graciously provided me with free salmon for this post. I'd never cooked it before, and I do not like fish with a fishy taste - so I was a little worried. In addition to the salmon, Whole Foods also gave me a bottle of Hawaiian BBQ Sauce (sort of tasted like Teriyaki) to use with the salmon. I chose to bake the salmon - and can I tell you that I had no idea how EASY salmon is to make? It was delicious! And it only took 20 minutes to marinate in the fridge and 14 minutes to bake in the oven!

There were left overs, so Brooke used those with some salmon-cream cheese-on crackers concoction she through together. She knew she liked salmon, but she didn't know she loved it! Guess I have a new item on our menu!
