Painting for Kids @ Pinot's Palette

Pinot's Palette is going to have kid camp classes in July.  This will be really fun for most children!  Each class is 4hrs.  You can visit their website for more information.   As you know, Brian and I recently went there and had a GREAT time.  MMM Contributor, Jessica, has also been and she loved it as well.

Summer Fun 2012: Local Water/Sprinkler Parks

Water Spray Park

The water spray park has 12 "stations" in a total area slightly larger than the size of a basketball court.  There are two "touchstone" poles that activate the spray stations, which resemble elephants, rainbows and other items.  The water sprays for a set amount of time until the poles are touched again.  An overall park timing system shuts the water off at night.

PLEASE NOTE: I called and spoke with an awesome Parks and Rec employee who assured me they do not charge non-residents to come to the park. THEY WILL CHARGE GROUPS/THOSE WHO BUS PEOPLE IN, etc. 

You should definately visit the park's websites (here and here) because there are new rules and also special times set aside for younger children.

One of my most fun college memories was a night when we all got together for spaghetti and played a murder-mystery game.  I've been wanting to host my own murder-mystery dinner, but at $25-$50 per boxed game I just couldn't bring myself to buy a game.
