I (Dawn) admit it!  I had never had Rotel dip before moving to Memphis about 5 years ago!  Well, with Super Bowl coming up this weekend we thought it would be fitting to showcase a few recipes that you can use coupons for the purchasing of ingredients:

Rotel Dip

1 lb. Velveeta $5.49 as part of the Game Day Greats buy-10-get-$5   

• On 2/3/12 download the $2.50/1 32oz. Velveeta coupon to your Kroger card.  Total price after coupon - $2.99

1 can Rotel tomatoes & green chilies $1 ... OR use Red Gold brand- 49¢

• If using Red Gold brand tomatoes w/green chilis you can print a coupon for it here when you create an account.  Total price after coupon FREE

1 bag Tortilla Chips  $1

Cut Velveeta into cubes and put into a microwave safe bowl.  Pour entire can of Rotel on top of the cheese cubes.  Microwave for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cheese is completely melted.  Serve with tortilla chips.

A "Whole" Week of Recipes from Whole Foods: Chicken Taco Pizza

Today is Day 3 of a Whole Week of Recipes from Whole Foods Market! You can find recipes to meet virtually any dietary need on their website.  Here's today's great recipe:

Chicken Taco Pizza

Serves 4

You can't go wrong with the best of family favorites, pizza and Mexican food, in one meal! For a vegetarian version, simply substitute sauteed zucchini or bell peppers and onions for the chicken. If you only have two mouths to feed, serve half of the pizza for dinner and pack the leftovers for lunch the next day.

Ingredients

1 frozen whole wheat pizza crust, thawed
1/2 cup tomatillo salsa, plus more for serving
1/4 pound part-skim mozzarella, shredded, divided
1 cup no-salt-added black beans, rinsed and drained
1 cup frozen yellow corn, thawed
1 frozen boneless, skinless grilled chicken breast (such as Nature's Rancher brand), thawed and chopped
1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Method

Preheat oven to 425°F. Arrange crust on a pizza stone or large baking sheet. Spread salsa over crust and sprinkle with half of the cheese. Top with beans, corn, chicken and remaining cheese and bake until crust is crisp and cheese is bubbly, about 25 minutes. Sprinkle with cilantro, cut into 8 pieces and serve with more salsa on the side.

Kingsford Coupon $5.00/1 No Longer Available But IS VALID

Remember the coupon I posted about the $5.00/1 Kingsford charcoal off of reliable coupons.com thanks to awesome readers, they pointed out Kingsford wrote on the Kingsfod facebook page the coupon was not valid, so I took it off my Kroger match-up and urged you guys nto use it. Now Kingsford has up-dated their status to say this:

"Hello Kingsford fans! We'd like to clear up any confusion regarding coupons. So sorry it took us a while to get to the bottom of this mystery! Yesterday, a number of coupon offers were posted by third parties to our Facebook Wall. While we can't verify the legitimacy of them all, we can confirm that the $5 Kingsford coupon from Coupons.com was legitimate and will be honored. Unfortunately, the link has now been taken down because all available coupons were downloaded. Please check back again for future offers and thank you for your patience and support of Kingsford!"

 

So yes this is frustrating as many stores have put this coupon on their fraudulent list, though it is not any longer considered fraudulent so you can try to use it but I would not argue with a store over it.

Kroger Weekly Match-up 2/1-2/7

 Quick Facts about Kroger:

To shop and save at Kroger you must have a Kroger Plus card.
You can down-load coupons directly to your Kroger card: Kroger Digital Coupons,

Kroger Digital Coupons can only be used once and they cannot be stacked with "paper coupons". IMPORTANT INFO THESE COUPONS DO NOT DOUBLE, so I recommend not loading coupons under a $1.00 value.
While you and a family member can get different Kroger cards with different numbers if it is linked to the same household address then the coupons on it will be the same.
 Please note there is a new Kroger Coupon Policy here. Kroger in Memphis and surrounding areas doubles  paper coupons 7 days a week up to $.60 automatically all you need to do is use your Kroger Plus Card.

There is a limit of 5 of the same coupon per transaction at most Kroger stores here in the Mid-South.
Internet coupons (they call them Print at home) are limited at using only 2 coupons per Manufacturer per day per customer. Meaning you can only use 2 Proctor and Gamble coupons and then 2 Kelloggs coupons etc.

Make sure to download all the eCoupons to your Kroger card. It's easy and can save you lots of money. Just visit Cellfire, Shortcuts, SoftCoin & Upromise.   Printable Coupons are available at Coupons.com, SmartSource, and Red Plum and  Coupon Network.

Be sure and use the coupon database to look up other products you need but don't see in the sale ad and see if there is a coupon for it.

I try to track the sales of the items so I do not list every item you will see in the "sale ad" as sometimes "sale prices" in the ad are not in fact a good price, of this is the case I don't list it.

Why do you list more than 1 coupon on a product, I can only use one Manufacturer's coupon per item right?

Yes, only 1 Manufacturers coupon per item, however I want you to know of all the coupons out there so you could get more than one item using different coupons. 

If the item is 10 for $10 it is only $1.00, you do not have to buy 10 unless it is part of an event in whcih I will clearly state that.
