I had never (yep, you heard me right - never) made a whole chicken before this past weekend. But when Whole Foods offered me a chicken to try I could not turn the offer down! I love cooking, and this was a new challenge for me. The challenge is that my hubby doesn't eat chicken - he finds it too dry. So I searched and searched until I found the perfect recipe for Beer Can Chicken from Guy Fieri (Food Network). The one change I made to his recipe is that I brined the chicken first - just to add tenderness and flavor. The results? FANTASTIC! Juicy, tender, flavorful! My hubby even ate it!
