Today, Friday, May 11th, Memphis Botanic Garden is celebrating National Public Gardens Day with 2-for-1 admission and special activities to help you get to know your local public garden:
10-11a.m. - Coffee Talk with MBG Director Jim Duncan. Big thanks to McCarter Coffee for providing delicious, locally roasted brew!
11 a.m.-12 noon - Guided Tram Tour
1-2 p.m. - Guided Tram Tour
2-3 p.m. - Meet the Gardeners. Horticulture staff will be on-hand in the Herb Garden, Sensory Garden, and Japanese Garden to answer questions and give inside information on these special spaces.
4-5 p.m. - Scavenger Hunt in My Big Backyard. After-school drop-in activity in our family garden.
National Public Gardens Day activities are free with Garden admission.
Sunday, May 13th, 10:30am-2:00pm.: Mother's Day Jazz Brunch in the Japanese Garden
Memphis Botanic Garden's Mother's Day Jazz Brunch is one of our most popular events every year, complete with catered buffet by Just Catering, live music by the Memphis Jazz Orchestra with Tom Prestigiacomo, kids' crafts, roses for moms, and the most beautiful setting for such a special day out!
