Recipe of the Day: Red Velvet Cookie Balls

MMMM!!  If this doesn't simultaneously scream Valentine and Delicious, I don't know what does!  This EASY recipe comes from Kraft, which you can get in your email if you register an account.

Red Velvet Cookie Balls

What You Need

1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
34   Golden Chocolate Creme OREO Cookies, finely crushed (about 3 cups)
1/2 tsp. red food coloring
2 pkg. (8 squares each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted
2 Tbsp. red sprinkles

Make It


MIX cream cheese, cookie crumbs and food coloring until well blended.
SHAPE into 48 (1-inch) balls. Dip in melted chocolate; place on waxed paper-covered baking sheet. Top with sprinkles.
REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm.

Crushing OREO Cookies is a cinch with a rolling pin and a resealable plastic bag.
How to Easily Dip the Cookie Balls
To easily coat cookie balls with the melted chocolate, add balls, in batches, to bowl of melted chocolate. Use 2 forks to roll cookie balls in chocolate until evenly coated. Remove balls with forks, letting excess chocolate drip back into bowl. Place cookie balls on prepared baking sheet; let stand until firm.
 
How to Store:
Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator.
