Weekly Shopping Budget $60

Hey guys I am going to try to post on all my shopping on a weekly basis, I will have a goal of only spending $60 for both household and groceries that will feed my family of 5 and 2 dogs and 1 cat.
My kids are aged 3 months, 4 years and 6 year old (takes lunch to school).

Some weeks I will spend more others I will spend less but the average will be $60/week. Keep in mind that I normally spend only $50 but I am not sure that is realistic for most people. So here we go day 2 (did not shop yesterday Sunday). Hopefully, this will answer your questions of how many stores does she go to, how often does she shop, does she buy generic and where is she finding the best deals etc! Please keep in mind this is going to be more work on my part, so I WOULD LOVE FEEDBACK, please make comment either on my facebook or here to this post and let me know if you find this helpful and what great deals you have found.

Please keep in mind I already have a huge stock-pile of  many items so there are many things I am not needing to buy including diapers, wipes, cat food and dog (which tend to be more expensive). And yes, I will have access to coupons you won't always get (just like you will have coupons I won't get from different sources) I will always disclose this.  I stockpiled my diapers getting them for $.08 a diaper when I was 6 months pregnant and received many as gifts so I have up to to size 3 (will still need to buy a few more of those).

Why I Became an "Extreme Couponer"

If you have been to one of my coupon workshops, chances are you have heard this story ;0) I am often asked what made me become so into using coupons and tracking sales cycles for the best possible deal, well see that beautiful house pictured above? That is our house in CT that has been on the market for 3 1/2 years since we moved to Memphis! I had a job in CT so we went from 2 jobs and 1 house payment to 1 job and 2 house payments!  I had always used coupons but not "to the extreme" that I have in these last 3 1/2 years and blogging for the last year and half.

Praise the Lord, the house was sold, last Monday, papers signed, keys handed over, no more CT taxes, monthly utility bills etc. So does that mean I am going to stop couponing and pay full price? NEVER ;0) I am going to stay at it and we will continue saving and praying for God to show us His plans and where He needs us to give. I know there are many of you who have houses for sell and have other financial burdens and you need to save money and cut your expenses! I hope this is of encouragement to you that it is possible and I hope that my site helps you achieve your financial goals. Don't let the downed economy get you down, I will do my best to find deals we can all use and opportunities to donate to others in need here in the Mid-South if we all work together we can save big! If you ever find great deals, please e-mail me so I can share it with others. e-mail me at mymemphismommy@gmail.com
