The Gain detergent was on sale for $.99 which is ending tonight and I had the coupon Save $.50 so I only paid $.49 for my dish washing detergent and everything else was FREE!! Bob Evans Chef Interview and Recipe for Calzones

Links provided may be from affiliate programs which help support this blog. Thanks for clicking!

I had the privilege to interview Chef David from Bob Evans Farms. Our conversation was video taped and you can see him showing us how to make sausage and mushroom calzones. He also answered some questions some of you had posted on my facebook, like how to  make meat balls!

Not only is the calzone recipe a quick one to make it is listed under their $2.00 meals (per serving). They list 20 meals you can make for under $2.00! I would also highly recommend signing up for their B-mail newsletter so you can receive coupons and lots of great tips! While you are there be sure and sign your kiddos up for their birthday club and your child will receive a postcard with a free meal coupon to use! So did you like this video? Let me know if you found this helpful!

RECIPE FOR THE CALZONES
  • Prep time: 20 minutes
  • Cook time: 20 minutes
  • Serves: Serves 4

Bob Evans Italian roll sausage is an easy way to add flavor to this traditional Italian recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Bob Evans Italian Roll Sausage
  • 1 pound loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 jar sliced mushrooms, drained (4 oz)
  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese

Directions

In large skillet, crumble and cook sausage until browned. Set aside. Roll out dough on lightly floured surface to 12" to 14" rectangle. Cut into 4 pieces. Top half of each rectangle with sauce, sausage, mushrooms and cheese. Fold dough over to enclose. Crimp around edges with a fork. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Bob Evans sponsored this interview and is sending me a gift basket for conducting it.
