Memphis City School Art Fest 3/25 & 3/26

Memphis City Schools has created a community festival, Artsfest that celebrates the power of the arts education and promotes quality arts instruction for all students.

Join us March 25th/26th at the MCS Board of Education (2597 Avery) for an event that features over 600 exemplary works or student visual art and over 35 performances of the best student orchestras, Orff ensembles, choirs, drama ensembles, bands, dance ensembles, and jazz bands in the city. Also featured will be guest performances/demonstrations from professional arts agencies and recording artists such as Kirk Whalum, the Memphis Symphony, Opera Memphis, Theatre Memphis, Navy Band Mid-South, The Germantown Chorus, Playhouse on the Square, Hatilloo Theatre, Voices of the South, Dance Works, New Ballet Ensemble, and Many More!!!

Schwan's Complete Meal Review and Giveaway

Wow with this weather so gorgeous I am looking for ways to still have great dinners for my family but spend less time in the kitchen ;0) Well Schwan's asked me to do a product review of their brand new product from Fresco by Scotto. Schwan’s Home Service gives you a break in the kitchen, with entrees, sides and desserts all ready in minutes!

Our first course is the new Baked Ziti that joins our popular line of family style Italian cuisine, Fresco by Scotto. This delicious Scotto family recipe is a rich combination of three cheeses (Ricotta, Mozzarella and Parmesan) baked with ziti pasta and a flavorful tomato sauce that is ready in 30 minutes. We loved this it was perfectly cooked al denti just like we like it! The sauce was perfect as well, the flavor was rich but not over powerful! I added freshly ground pepper and grated some fresh parmesan, yummy!

We also tried the Five Cheese Garlic French Bread, so incredibly good and I loved that it was individually wrapped.

MicroSteam Baby Broccoli Florets we love fresh veggies and this product is awesome! I hate frozen veggies that end up soggy, this broccoli was tender and you would have never known it was frozen. It was super simple to make, just popped it in the microwave and it was ready!!

We also tried the yummy yummy Chocolate Ice Cream. So creamy and delicious! This was an awesome meal that was easy to prepare! I highly recommend these products!
