First to find out about Zaycon foods go here.
This is the first time to come to the Memphis and Olive Branch area. They operate by hosting "events' across the USA. If this interests you at all I encourage you to set up an account which 100% free to do and when they are going to have an event in our area you will be notified and know what they are offering. BE SURE AND LOOK IN YOUR SPAM FOLDER AND MAKE SURE THEIR E-MAILS are not going to your spam folder! The more interest they have the more likely they would be to come BACK to our area sooner!!They only do one product at a time, such as chicken, or beef or salmon etc.
They sell in larger quantities never frozen, you have to go to a location, usually an area with a huge parking lot, you never get out of your car, drive up and they place the product in your car. The prices may very from event to event depending on what they are able to get. Obviously the more people they have wanting to buy the more events they will do in that city. The next product they will offer is beef. They are planning to come back in January but if there is enough interest they could come in December. Thanks for using my link I appreciate it.
Please note that you have to go at that time and location and it is only available for an hour and you must pre-buy a few weeks in advance of the event. We were not familiar at all with the location we had to go to in order to pick up our chicken, however it was super fast and easy, just drive up and show them the receipt and the chicken was placed in the trunk no need to even get out of the car!!
I decided to "challenge" to Memphis Mommy contributors to a "Chicken Cook Off". The rules are simple, they must create at least 3 and no more than 5 meals using the 10 lbs of chicken at a cost not to exceed $10 a meal. Each day for the next 10 days I will be featuring a Chicken Recipe!! Leave comments etc!
Fried Chicken Tacos by Missy Monzo
1 pound of chicken breast $1.49 a lb1 onion 55¢

1 package of cheese 75¢ (it was buy on get one free Kroger Sale)
1 package of Knorr Rice (81¢ Sale was 1.00 each uses coupon 75¢ off of 3)
Dice up chicken and throw it into a pot with some water and stir in the package of taco seasoning. Drain chicken after it is cooked 20 minute time. Chop up lettuce and onion and place in a bowl. Cook the package of rice in a separate bowl. Now its time to decorate your taco how you want. HERE is the tricky part. In a pan add a small amount of oil and turn on medium heat. Place your taco on its side in the the pan. After 1 minute using two spatchulas flip the taco on the other side. After 1 minute remove from pan and place on plate. Frying the taco gives it that crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Finally, enjoy your Fried Chicken Taco!!!!!
Total cost to serve a family of 5 is $7.84
