Here is they synopsis:
Bethany (Robb) was born to surf. A natural talent who took to the waves at a young age, she was leading an idyllic, sun-drenched, surfer girl’s life on the Kauai Coast, competing in national competitions with her best friend Alana (Lorraine Nicholson), when everything changed in a heartbeat. On Halloween morning, Bethany was on a typical ocean outing when a 14-foot tiger shark came out of nowhere and seemed to shatter all her dreams.
SOUL SURFER reveals the moving aftermath of this headline-making story, as Bethany fights to recover and grapples with the future. Strengthened by the love of her parents, Tom (Quaid) and Cheri (Hunt), she refuses to give in or give up, and begins a bold return to the water.
If you are looking for a great movie (especially for teens) to go and watch this weekend, I would recommend this one!

I have 3 girls. 2 are teens! They can sometimes get things out of prespective and need reminders of how much we are truly blessed. This inspirational story should encourage them that they "can do all things through Christ".Mbarger

I would like to win this prize because my family and I LOVE the beach and this website. We are able to take one vacation a year and it is always to the same place, the beach, of course. IT is always a special bonding trip for us. And since vacations can be expensive, I am always looking for deals on summertime products. Additionally, I love the story of this girl overcoming a very traumatic experience to continue to do something about which she is passionate.
I would love to win this. I think the story of this girl is very empowering. The fact that she suffered an injury and didn't let it stop her from achieving her dreams is very inspiring.
