RECIPE: Shana's Favorite COOKIE

This cookie recipe that my Mom gave me is the most popular cookie recipe I get requested. I made these for the coupon workshop on Friday and had a ton of requests for it, and I can't believe I have never posted this YUMMY MONSTER COOKIE RECIPE ENJOY!!

COOKIE MONSTER
(named so because it makes a HUGE BATCH AND HUGE COOKIE)
Ingredients:
wet ingredients
2cups of shortening
2 cups of brown sugar
2 cups of white sugar
4 eggs
2tsp. vanilla extract

dry ingredients

4 cups of flour
2tsp baking soda
2tsp baking powder
combine in a bowl to make a "flour mixture"

ingredients not to mix but fold in
2 cups of oats
2 cups chocolate chips
2 cups GRAPE NUT FLAKES CEREAL (must be the flake cereal)

DIRECTIONS
1.Mix your wet ingredients together
2.Add slowly your flour mixture
3. Fold in the grapenut flakes, choc,. chips and oats (you may have to use your hands)

Place on un-greased cookie sheet (I always use a silpat on my baking sheet when making cookies)
BAKE 12-15 minutes in your PRE-HEATED 350 degree oven

Sounds tasty! Do you scoop by the tablespoon? About how many does this recipe make? Thanks!

I am "one of those cooks" that doesn't even like to measure ;0) so I just take a regular spoon and plop it out and press it down a bit, it makes A TON depending on how big you make them, last time I used 5 cookies sheets....you could always freeze some of the cookie dough
