This recipe was sent to me from an avid Memphis Mommy reader, Kelly Blumenthal, she likes to make these granola bars as they are a peanut free option for her kids. Thanks Kelly!

From Sun-Maid Raisin:
Sun-Maid Breakfast Bars-
(I substituted chocolate chips for the walnuts)
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup butter or melted margarine
1/4 cup honey
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup Sun-Maid raisins
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8-inch square pan. Combine flour, wheat germ, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon. Stir in butter, honey, egg and vanilla; mix well. Stir in raisins and chocolate chips. Press mixture into greased pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Cut into bars and wrap individually in plastic wrap.
