Fresh Express gave us the opportunity to review their new tool, the Leaf Locator. They provided Shana with a coupon for a free packaged salad. I loved using this tool, it was simple and easy to use. Each package of salad that they sell has a letter and 3 digit number on it and you can discover where your salad came from and who helped to grow it. It was fun to see that the salad I chose came from San Luis Colorado.
The Food Channel list "Food Sourcing/Vetting" as one of the top 10 food trends in 2010. I feel very disconnected from my food, and honestly at times I think my little ones do not understand what "real" food is. I will definitely use this tool again and my almost 5 year old really enjoyed it as well. There is just something about salad in the summer, we eat it almost daily. I have always loved Fresh Express Packaged salad as it is reasonably priced and they offer such a great variety.
