Shop It Forward-Places to Donate



Join us in Shopping it Forward to others here in Memphis. We are excited to LAUNCH this initiative to challenge YOU; that as YOU save $$$ and get free products, at the same time we encourage you to look for opportunities to donate to local needs.

Do you know of an organization that is in need of canned goods, and other supplies? Please let us know! We hope that we can find a variety of organizations in Memphis and keep an up-dated list of needs as they arise! Together WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE in the lives of fellow Memphians.

This is what we have so far:
Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association MIFA click here
They are looking for donations for their care packages and birthday kits
Baby Care Package

Disposable diapers, 4 packs each of small, medium or large
Ready-to-use formula in a screw-cap con- tainer Infant juice, 4-6 oz. cans Jars of infant fruits and vegetables
Baby bottles Baby lotion (travel size) Baby wipes (travel size) Baby powder (travel size)
Baby wipes (travel size) * Please indicate on package the diaper size
and type of formula—soy or iron.
Travel Care Package
Pork & beans (8 oz.) Canned fruit (5-6 oz.) Single-serving cereal boxes Granola bars
Utensil set w/ napkin, knife, fork & spoon
Adult Care Package
Tooth brushes Toothpaste Soap Deodorant Shaving cream (male) Set of razors Feminine hygiene products (small packages) Shampoo

For Seniors
Gardening gloves Socks (regular or non-skid) Poinsettias (for holiday bags) Stationery, pens/pencils Postage stamps Winter caps Sweaters Blankets T-shirts Mittens or gloves Games (playing cards, puzzles, crossword
puzzles, or dominoes) Lotion
Flashlights Toiletries Tissue (boxed)
For Children (ages infant to 12)
Cake mix Icing Candles Invitations Party decorations Birthday gift (educational toys, books,
board games and African-American dolls)
You may deliver your completed bags to the front desk at MIFA headquarters, 910 Vance Ave., between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. An acknowledgement letter will be provided.

You can help the kitties by making donations of cash, food, litter, cleaning supplies, toys, beds, etc. We and the kitties at Mewtopia greatly appreciate any and all donations.

First Works click here
Food to stock the Food Pantry is donated by the Memphis community, downtown churches, and other faith-based organizations and is supplemented, as needed, with purchases from the Memphis Food Bank. All non-perishable food and hygiene products are needed.

Donating seasonal clothing, food, toiletries, over-the-counter medicine, office equipment and other items serves as a practical, useful ministry to the hurting and the homeless.

You can drop these items off at our Men’s Emergency at 383 Poplar Ave., or we will pick them up. To schedule a pickup, please contact Ruth Malone at (901) 526-8403.

We ask that all items be clean and in reasonably good condition. Broken or torn items will not be accepted.
